"etymology_text": "From the fictional character “Fuzzy Q. Jones”, a bumbling cowboy and comical sidekick, a role played by Al St. John across many movies in the 1930s and 1940s. The character was named after actor John Forrest “Fuzzy” Knight (who played similar roles), from English fuzzy, a nickname given for his soft voice. Unusually, the pronunciation itself is not borrowed and instead re-derived by spelling pronunciation in German.\nCompare English guy, as in e.g. \"IT guy\", especially for the dual sense of dismissal and specialization.",
